I’ve seen firsthand how hard it can be for rural and under-resourced communities to navigate FEMA recovery. My journey started in Southwest Virginia during a flood response. What stuck with me wasn’t just the damage — it was the lack of time, staff, and support many communities faced while trying to manage grants and documentation.
I created CompliAid to level the playing field. REACT was built so localities don’t have to rely on long email threads, slow responses, or expensive outside contractors. With CompliAid, you don’t wait — you ask, and you get the answer, backed by the regs.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Emergency & Disaster Management from Western Carolina University, and I’m currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration from Lamar University with a focus on emergency management, as well as an MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’ve also completed FEMA’s Basic Academy and the Advanced Professional Series — ensuring that REACT is grounded in both real-world experience and formal training.
